For a place with as much history as Speigletown, we’ve never had a single, clear front door on the web. Fire, town government, the historical societies, and a handful of businesses each live in their own corner of the internet — and none of them quite tells the whole story of the hamlet.
This site is an attempt to fix that. It’s built by neighbors, for neighbors, and it aims to be three things at once:
- A civic reference — where to reach fire, police, and forest rangers; when the Town Board meets; where to find services.
- An action group — a place to raise local issues, organize, and keep an eye on decisions that affect us.
- A community newspaper — news, events, history, and the small stories that make Speigletown a place and not just a ZIP code.
